Warren Platner s most important furniture design in his life should be a set of steel wire furniture designed for Knoll International in 1966. This wonderful and elegant furniture frame is entirely composed of welded steel wires, and its complex design requires 1400 separate welding heads, which took several years to complete. The stretching surface of the chair back and armrests gives a feeling of openness and pleasure. The optical effect formed by the steel ring connecting the base of fine metal wire makes the chair look like silk with water. This set of furniture is considered to be aristocratic and high-end artistic furniture
